Operator Expectations

This is to help ensure that all operators have at minimum the basic concepts down to operate ProPresenter

Basic Concepts

• Be able to switch looks for both Live and Stage manually

  • Understand the differences between the following looks

    • Pre-Service and Worship

    • Worship and Live Russian

    • Live Russian and Live English

    • Worship and All Content

    • All Content and Pre-Service

• Be able to configure screens if names change

• Song Basics

  • Know how to check all Google Drive accounts and ProPresenter if a song exists before creating a new one

  • Be able to create new songs in the correct Google Drive folder

  • Be able to import new songs and put it in the correct playlist

  • Be able to create new arrangements

  • Understand the difference between group and label

  • Understand the importance of using group and label

  • Know when to use slide notes

  • Be able to switch between arrangements

  • Be able to add a blank and background group and the role they play

• Be able to add a song from a library to a playlist

• Be able to add a soundtrack to ProPresenter and play it and make sure the mixer is receiving your music

• Be able to display a stage message

• Be able to start a countdown for the preacher/worship team

• Understand how a presentation marked as “Announcement” behaves

• Be able to add background images to the correct media folder

• Know important key bindings

  • How to display the Bible page if it doesn’t exit

  • How to display media library if it’s hidden on the screen

• Know how to screenshare the right screen so ProPresenter display it as a video

• Be able to troubleshoot if ProPresenter isn’t outputting to the correct screens or not picking up a screen

• Know which output is going to live streaming

• Know how the switch operates for the foyer tv’s and the different inputs

• Know how to turn on and off all the projectors and tv’s

• Be able to check if the computer is outputting music to the correct output

• Know how to play YouTube videos with no ads

• Know how to turn on lyric overlap for the video crew if they forget

• Know what happens to a PowerPoint presentation when it’s imported into ProPresenter (what happens to the text transitions, sound clips, and video files)

• Be able to display Bible verses and know the issues with Psalms

• Know how to clear things individually

  • Clear only announcements

  • Clear only media

  • Clear only audio

  • Clear only the slide

• Be able to add announcements to the TV in the foyer that is always on

Advanced Concepts

• Be able to create new looks

• Be able to assign themes to looks

• Be able to create new themes

• Be able to create macros

• Be able to add actions to presentations

• Be able to use inspector on a video to send it to a different audio channel and then mute those two channels (this will all you to play that video while playing a sound track and and only hearing the audio playing)

• Be able to show only a stage slide in the middle of a song (If someone is going to say a little verse and they want to see it on the stage screen, we need to prevent it from being seen on the audience display)

• Be able to create a new label

• Be able to create a new group

• Be able to have multiple words on a slide where it will appear with a click or after a certain amount of time (Build slides so that text on the slide can float in and click or at a set time)

• Be able to add a go to next timer on a slide

• Be able to shut down the PC after 10 minutes with a command

• Understand how the Live Russian and Live English themes work (how the layering works and how the dual translations find the correct layer)

• Be able to check if the output to the video guys is at 30 Hz

• Be able to reset all audio settings to factory defaults

• Be able to create/edit images as a background for service
